Brian Regan (born 1958) is a stand-up comedian known for his self-deprecating and sarcastic humor and acts filled with strong facial expressions and other bodily humor. His routines typically focus on everyday humdrum life or his childhood.
Background
Brian Joseph Regan, which is of Irish descent, was born in Miami, Florida in 1958, and grew up in Westchester, in the suburban Miami-Dade County. He had seven siblings. (His brother Dennis is also a professional stand-up comedian.)
Regan moved to Ohio to attend Heidelberg College, planning to be an accountant. He played wide receiver on the football team at Heidelberg, and a football coach encouraged him to consider theater and communications instead of accounting.
During his last semester in Heidelberg (in 1980), he dropped out of college to chase his dream of being a professional stand-up comedian. (17 years later, he finally finished his degree.)
